Program Description: Renewable Energy introduces participants to conventional energy systems, conversion technologies and new sustainable, renewable energy options. The program encourages critical thinking about the interaction of energy, environment and society and the development of energy resources, energy demand, and its impact on climate change and our natural environment. Youth will gain not only theory but hands-on experience with testing and installing solar panels, analyzing old buildings and designing retrofitting plans to mitigate energy loss and improve efficiency.
